ABOUT OXFORK

Whether you are meeting up with colleagues or friends for brunch, celebrating a birthday or just running in to grab a coffee and a cake to go, you can expect a warm welcome, great service and very good, freshly prepared dishes, all at very good prices.

For those of you uninitiated here’s how Oxfork was cooked up. Oxfork started life at the end of last year. When myself (that’s Chloe) and fellow Oxforker Becky were cooking at one of Oxfords most reputable eateries, although we loved our work, we decided we needed a new challenge for 2011 and thought we’d start an underground supper club at my house.

We were lucky enough that people took a chance and came for dinner, they had fun and word spread, every subsequent event in our little underground restaurant since has sold out.

We work hard to make these evenings as fun, delicious and interesting as possible. Each night we put together a four or five course themed feast for 20 in our cosy home in OX4 (favourites have included Burns Night and a 1970’s special). We think it’s a great way to meet new people, eat some delicious grub and have a brand new experience.

These days we’d describe ourselves as a slightly larger motley collection of like-minded chefs, event organisers and foodies. With all this extra help-at-hand we decided to expand into the exciting world of pop-up restaurants and the like and have recently added this lovely shop to our expanding waistlines business.
